🛡️ Refund Policy Overview (rev. May 20 2025)
Refund Policy
We understand that plans can change. Our refund policy is designed to be clear, fair, and transparent for all students.
🔹 1. Free Cancellation Window – Up to 3 Business Days
  - Receive a full refund (minus a $100 administrative fee) if you:
 
    
      - Submit your request in writing via email within three (3) business days of your registration date AND
  
      - Have not accessed any portion of the course materials (online modules, downloads, or videos).
  
    
   
  - Once any course material is accessed, no refund will be issued.
  
🔹 2. Returns of Physical Materials
If your enrollment includes shipped materials (books, kits, equipment, etc.):
  - You must return them unused and in original packaging at your expense.
  
  - A restocking/shipping fee may apply.
  
  - No refunds will be issued for digital products (e-books, PDFs, e-course content) once delivered.
  
🔹 3. Course Extensions & Late Access
  - Your course access ends on the date listed in your Welcome Letter.
  
  - Extensions may be available for a separate fee.
  
  - Refunds will not be granted for:
 
    
      - Missed access periods
  
      - Failure to log in before access expires
  
    
   
🔹 4. No Refunds After Course Start
Once:
  - The course begins, or
  
  - You access any part of the course materials,
  
No refunds will be issued.
This policy ensures fairness in resource allocation, scheduling, and instructor commitments.
🔹 5. When Refunds Do Not Apply
Refunds are not granted in the following cases:
  - Personal scheduling conflicts
  
  - Change of mind after course start
  
  - Financial difficulties
  
  - Partial course completion
  
  - Failure to complete within the designated time frame
  
🔹 6. Intellectual Property & Course Materials
  - All course content — including text, graphics, videos, presentations, downloadable materials, and any other resources — is the exclusive property of the National School of Sleep Medicine and is protected by U.S. and international copyright laws.
  
  - Enrolled students are granted personal, non-transferable access for educational purposes only.
  
  - The ASTEP Introduction to Sleep Medicine for the Sleep Technologist course is provided under license from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), which retains all rights to its content.
  
  - Students may not:
 
    
      - Copy, share, sell, reproduce, or distribute course materials
  
      - Use course materials for commercial purposes without written consent
  
      - Post any course materials publicly (including on social media or file-sharing platforms)
  
    
   
  - Any unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution is a violation of intellectual property rights and may result in legal action.
  
🔹 7. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund:
  - Email admissions@nationalschoolofsleepmedicine.com within three (3) business days of registration.
Include:
 
    
      - Your full name
  
      - Registration date
  
      - Reason for refund request
  
    
   
  - Return any physical materials (unused and in original packaging) within 7 days of your request.
  
  - Refunds (minus admin and applicable shipping/restocking fees) will be processed within 14 business days to your original payment method.
  
🔹 8. Policy Updates & Availability
  - This policy may be updated periodically to reflect operational or legal changes.
  
  - The effective date above indicates the latest revision.
